Darkhan Kaletayev

Minister of Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan

 

 

Darkhan Kaletayev was born in 1972 in East Kazakhstan region.

He graduated from the East Kazakhstan State University, the National Higher School of Public Administration. He is a trained teacher-historian, public-administration manager. He has a PhD in Political Sciences.

He began his career in 1995 as Expert of the Committee on Languages ​​under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He worked in the Ministries of Education and Culture; Information and Public Consent. Since 2002 - Head of the sector, Socio-political Department, Department of State Control and Organizational Operations of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2007-2008 he served as Deputy Head of the Executive Office of the President, in 2008-2009 - First Deputy Chairman of NDP "Nur Otan", in 2009-2016 - Managing Director of NWF Samruk-Kazyna.

In October 2016, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan he was appointed Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament. Since September 2017 - Member of the Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security of the Senate of Parliament.
