Kazakhstan Ministry of Agriculture (http://mgov.kz/) is the central executive body; its main objectives are:

- formation and implementation of agricultural and regional policy, strategic planning, government and other programs and projects in the regulated sphere, namely in the field of agricultural sector, crop production, veterinary, animal husbandry, technical equipment for the agro-industrial complex, agricultural science, formation of the basis for creating competitive agricultural commodity production, food security and mobilization readiness of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- providing information and consulting for the agricultural sector.

Implemented programs:

- "Agribusiness 2020" program on the development of Kazakhstan agricultural sector for 2013-2020;

- "Sybaga" Program.

He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics with a degree in economics and mathematics, later graduated from post-graduate courses at the same university. He began his career as an engineer at the Research Institute of Automation of Planning Processes in Almaty.

In different years he was the Consultant to the Supreme Economic Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Economic Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Head of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akim of Kostanay, South Kazakhstan regions and the city of Astana. In different periods of time he held the post of First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From December 2011 until now, he was Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC and a member of the Board of Directors of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

By the Decree of the Head of State, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Minister of Agriculture beginning December 15, 2017.
